 The location - Le Têrtre is an
oasis of peace and relaxation deep in the French countryside, two hours drive from Caen, le Havre and Rouen, and an easy train journey from Paris. It is located on the pilgim’s route to Santiago de Compostela.

The Region - la France profonde
Le Perche is set between Normandy, the Loire and Paris; it is la France profonde, the French heartland which is so much more than just a place. The closest village, Mamers, has a typical French market once a week. Nearby are the towns of Alençon and Mortagne. Chartres is an easy drive from le Têtre, as is the market town of Nogent-le-Rotrou, where it is possible to
arrange a wine tasting with an experienced caviste.
